At The Happy Box, we believe gifting should be better. More thoughtful in how it's curated, more meaningful in what's inside, and more impactful in who it supports. Every box we send is designed to do exactly that.

From a pandemic pivot to Canada's favourite gift box.

When COVID hit, founders Sana and Ribat were running Ribitt, a loyalty platform connecting customers to local small businesses. But as people hunkered down, those businesses couldn't sell, and the platform came to a standstill.

So they adapted. If small Canadian makers couldn't get customers to come to them, they'd bring the products directly to customers' doors. The Happy Box was born. Themed, curated gift boxes packed entirely with goods from local Canadian makers, delivering a little happiness at a time when people needed it most.

People loved them. Not just for the beautiful products inside, but for what they represented. A way to reach out, cheer someone up, and feel connected during the loneliest of times. They told their friends. Their friends told their teams. Word spread, and it hasn't stopped since.

Today, tens of thousands of boxes later, hundreds of small business partners stronger, and millions of dollars back into the hands of Canadian makers, The Happy Box is still powered by exactly what it was built on. Community, generosity, and the joy of making someone's day.

At our core, we're still just two people who love this country and love the makers in it. The Happy Box has grown into something much bigger than we ever imagined. Hundreds of small business partners. A team that pours their heart into every box. Thousands of Happy recipients right across Canada and beyond. But championing Canadian makers isn't just what we do. It's who we are, and it always will be.
